To be our Procurement Advisor, you will need:
• An A level education at minimum
• At least 3 years experience within procurement / contract management
• Experience of purchasing commodities, services and capital projects
• To be a proficient user of MS Office, particularly Excel
• CIPS qualification - desirable

Our Procurement Advisor role:
As our Procurement Advisor you will be assisting the Procurement Manager in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures and providing support and advice throughout the business. You will be responsible for managing the procurement of a variety of commodities, services and projects to include management of the supplier base and appropriate contracts, terms and conditions. Your key duties will include:
• Managing compliance / non-compliance of group-wide policies and procedures
• Integrating, reviewing and maintenance of group supplier base
• Working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure suppliers comply with group health & safety and environmental issues
• Managing supplier relationships in order to achieve maximum efficiency
• Addressing and resolving procurement problems
• Assisting in the development of specifications and identification of suitable suppliers of goods and services
• Reviewing quotations and negotiate prices with key suppliers
• Assisting in the identification of suitable suppliers, PQQ, preparation of specification, contracts and evaluation criteria for all tenders in accordance with group policies
• Providing advice on suitable contracts for the procurement of key projects, and assisting in technical review of projects ensuring feasibility and cost effectiveness
• Identifying and pursuing opportunities to implement group-wide contracts
• Monitoring and analysing all purchasing activity
• Assist in the development of business systems and processes to deliver effective procurement, including identifying, pursuing & delivering cost savings

Who are we looking for to be our Procurement Advisor?
We need someone who is motivated, driven and enthusiastic, able to work collaboratively within a team and independently whilst confidently managing and appropriately prioritising their workload. You will need excellent negotiation and communication skills alongside strong analytical skills and the ability to manage third parties and provide support to all levels of the business.
