Day Opportunities Coordinator
Centre 404 is a well-established charity with an excellent reputation for providing high-quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in north London.
We are looking for a creative and experienced person to lead and develop our unique day opportunities project for adults with learning disabilities and complex support needs. The project is a bespoke and user led service that focuses on developing activities based on individual choice. The service currently supports 6 people to have fun, develop interests and reach their potential, and the post holder will be required to develop the project to accommodate a maximum of 1 more person.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of leading or managing services for people with a learning disability and be able to demonstrate the skills needed to manage staff, co-ordinate activities and take part in delivering services.
We are looking for a friendly and positive person who can connect with and value people with all different communication and life styles. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to use their ideas and initiative to plan and organise individual and group activities and develop their experience and problem solving skills to maintain quality and meet the needs of the service users.
We would especially welcome applications from candidates that hold a valid driving licence and are willing to drive a mini bus (provision can be made for candidates to undertake a mini bus driving qualification in order to meet this requirement). However holding a driving license is not essential to apply for the Day Opportunities Coordinator role.
