Permanent – 37.5 hours per week (Worked Monday – Friday on a Rota from 08:00 – 20:00, including a Saturday Rota)

 Salary £16,013 per annum depending on experience

Our client is expanding their homecare support team due to ongoing success. Clinical homecare is a growing market area offering greater convenience to patients whilst delivering efficiencies to the NHS. This is an exciting opportunity to join our client’s friendly team at an exciting time where they are growing rapidly.

They are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to support their homecare team, being an essential point of contact with patients or their representatives. Excellent communication skills and an ability to follow processes are essential.

Candidates must be computer literate with experience in all Microsoft packages, have good attention to detail and a flexible working approach and be competent at call handling, preferably in relation to healthcare or a comparable environment. Previous admin experience is essential for this post ideally within a hospital or caring environment.

Duties and Responsibilities to include

  • Contacting patients by telephone or email to arrange deliveries
  • Scheduling deliveries to patients via 3rd party subcontracted logistics
  • Maintaining accurate electronic records of calls to and received from patients within the Company’s Patient Management System
  • Handling documentation including patient registration forms and prescriptions
  • Active management of prescription orders
  • Performing accuracy checks upon receipt of prescriptions and other documentation
  • Handling patient and customer queries
  • Using initiative to resolve delivery failures
  • Scheduling nurse attendances when required to administer medicines in the home
  • Directing inbound telephone calls from healthcare professionals to the relevant operational department within the company
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
  • Liaising with external health care professionals regarding registered patients care
  • Supporting the Patient Services Manager in the development and review of standard operating procedures
