Production Line Team Leaders

One of the leading and fastest growing horticultural companies in the UK is currently looking for competent Production Line Team Leaders. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most progressive fast moving consumer goods companies in the UK.

The Role:

Based from their site at Alconbury, Cambs and reporting to the Production Supervisor , the successful candidates will be responsible for the operational performance of the line, ensuring the finished product meets their internal high standards of quality and those of their customers whilst achieving / exceeding efficiency & safety standards whilst following and re-enforcing the company's core values.

Overall responsibility:

To lead the line of operatives in order to fulfill order commitments, exceed internal targets and ensure best practice is adhered to.

To ensure efficiency by:

- Ensuring all line paperwork is filled in correctly, legibly and in a timely manner
- Motivate and encourage the line
- Awareness and achievement of the targets expected from your line
- Ensuring changeover times are minimised by utilising all operatives on the line
- Ensuring break times are adhered to and machinery switched off (if appropriate) when the line is left
- Be aware of any training needs you feel yourself and staff may have and seek to address them
- Identify responsible people on your line and train / delegate appropriately
- Mentor, train and support line staff under your care

Essential Criteria:

- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Understanding of production related KPI's
- Excellent problem solving, team working and interpersonal skills
- Strong literacy, numeracy, communication skills
