Warehouse/ Fleet Courier Controller

Operating out of over 45 Branches around the UK and Ireland from where they control more than 1,500 courier vehicles each day.

A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse / Fleet Courier Controller to join our small team in the Swindon Branch.

This Fleet Courier Controller role will be receiving calls from customers, booking jobs on our fleet management system DA and route planning, so a sound geographical knowledge of the local area as well as the UK would be an advantage. 

The Courier Fleet Controller will be responsible for the daily activities of the control desk, which include:

• Cost and time efficient job allocating, good planning skills.
• Daily fleet supervision, ensuring maximum earning potential for your fleet.
• Good Customer Service skills that involves daily customer contact at times under significant pressure.
• Good Operational and S.O.P. (Standard Operating Procedures) compliance at all times, meeting and exceeding customer requirements and expectations.

In addition time will be split with general warehousing activities

The successful candidate will have excellent customer services skills and be proficient with  Microsoft Office. Training will be provided on our in-house systems.

Salary:  £20,000 PA + Bonus & Pension

This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, excluding lunches. Please note that overtime is likely at peak periods.  

Previous experience is an advantage but we will consider candidates with applicable transferable skills who could be trained for the role.
