A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a multi award-winning, market leading Technology Company based in Gloucester. This company develops award winning classroom technology for the education sector.

The Role
The Business Development Manager will focus driving new business opportunities to successfully deliver the company's sales plan for their unique set of educational products. The successful candidate will be engaging with new potential customers on a daily basis, continually finding new opportunities to expand their reach within the UK education sector. The role will also involve more strategic alliances with learning trusts and local authorities to explore larger opportunities for the full product range.

With a supporting team of internal sales executives and telemarketers, the role will take ownership of face-to-face communication within all types of educational establishments. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day sales pipeline and forecasts to support accurate planning and the delivery of the revenue targets.

Key responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong and long lasting relationships with all partners and prospects
- Manage full pipeline activity and deliver accurate sales forecasts
- Establish key contacts, relationships and connections across the wider education sector
- Develop a deep understanding of the education sector, trends and the competitive landscape
- Use internal CRM to log all activity and identify key opportunities
- Deliver the sales targets

Required skills and experience:
- Proven ability to develop new business through sound sales techniques
- A dynamic, pro-active approach to working with customers, quickly identifying their needs and converting opportunity through to sale
- Strong understanding of the education market
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of organisations
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience of working within a fast paced, high growth environment
