Contracts Manager- Main Contractor 
Projects: Refurbishment / Extensions up the value of £4 million 
Southampton 
Salary up to £50,000 + Car /Allowance + 25 days Holiday + Pension 
 
A respected regional refurbishment contactor is searching for a Contracts Manager. 
Based in Southampton this contractor has built up comprehensive range of small works and refurbishment / Extension services to leading names in private and local authority sector. 
 
You will be responsible for managing refurbishment schemes and small extension predominantly within the refurbishment and upgrade of, Leisure / Schools / Banks and Public house type environments. 
 
Such project values range from £5K-£4 million. You will be flexible and required to undertake travel between each of the projects, which in turn offers varied and interesting work. 
 
Reporting to the contracts director you will be running between 1 and 3 jobs at any one time and will spend around 50 percent of your time on site and the remainder working in the office. You will be responsible for the total life cycle of the project including Estimating, Surveying and Contracts Management. 
 
Responsibilities: 
Effectively managing multiple construction projects, you will be responsible for the timely completion of projects, working within contractual deadlines (Values £500k to £5m). 
 
Ensure compliance with all company commercial and financial procedures, a previous QS background would be desirable.
Driving forward site teams & Site Management. 
Development and delivery of project programme and control of project costs. 
Knowledge and understanding of contract administration. 
Assisting with pre-construction development and tendering. 
Progress reporting and client liaison.  
 
Have knowledge and understanding of site based Health & Safety and industry appropriate accreditation (SMSTS / CSCS / First Aid).
