Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm
Friday – 8am – 4pm

We are currently looking for a top-flight Service engineer to work on a variety of Construction & Groundcare products. 

Based at our Reading branch you would be joining a very knowledgeable and friendly team with a good mix of age and experience and whilst the work is technically challenging, we look to provide a well-structured training programme that works in conjunction with the Kubota UK. Much of the repair and service work is carried out on-site and so a fully expensed vehicle will be provided. The mainly mobile role means that every day is different but you still retain the support of the base at Reading and the majority of our work tends to be with plant hire companies, contractors, councils, schools, golf courses and private estates within the Berkshire area.

With just under 200 people in the team, we supply and support machinery to the Groundcare, Construction and Agricultural markets, a mix that has allowed us to weather the toughest of economic times. Our focus is ‘Sales with Service’ whereby we aim to provide the very highest levels of after sales care to our well established customer base, something that led us to be awarded the Kubota Gold Plus award for service excellence – the only such company to receive this in the UK. This doesn’t mean we get everything right, but we work hard to constantly improve the service on offer and we know this starts by finding like-minded Field Service Engineers who take similar pride in their work. 

About you

Full product training will be provided but we are looking to work with someone who already has a very solid foundation, ideally possessing an extensive knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrics and hydraulics. Many of these skills will be interchangeable from related industries but previous experience with Agricultural, Construction or Groundcare machinery would be ideal. Its also important that you are comfortable in front of the customer as you’ll be speaking to many of them about the service, repair, diagnostic or warranty work that you have undertaken and ensuring they are happy with the job before moving on to the next.
