This charity works with offenders, prisoners and families across the Midlands area. The main focus of their work is resettlement and rehabilitation support including employability; accommodation; finance and debt; and children and families; and over 2,000 clients access services each year.

HMP Stafford is a Category C male sex offender prison with a current roll of approximately 750 prisoners. The charity has worked in partnership with HMP Stafford to develop a plan for resettlement provision for sentenced prisoners at the prison. The Resettlement Officer will provide a range of resettlement interventions including information, advice and guidance on learning and work; support with disclosure of a criminal record; employability skills training; advice on retaining and securing accommodation; and support with debts. You will work closely with internal and external agencies to identify and support resettlement plans and often be involved with negotiating with employers, colleges, housing providers and other agencies to assist prisoners to progress ready for their release. The post holder will therefore need to be self motivated and tenacious in their approach to their work.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in criminal justice, who has a background in delivering client-focused support and who wants to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals as they resettle into the community.
