JOB TITLE: Technical Specialist - Paint

SALARY & BENEFITS: £40K - £50K including shift allowance, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, life insurance & company pension

WORKING HOURS: Rotating shift pattern including nights

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with an outsourced service provider to paint sections within the automotive industry. Established in 1992 they now operate throughout Europe. The experienced teams provide paint management, logistics and quality control services to the automotive manufacturers to assist them to produce a high quality, cost effective paint finish on their vehicles.


THE ROLE: As a Technical Specialist you will join the team supporting the process application of paint onto vehicles by a major paint supplier to Bentley in Crewe.


Key Responsibilities of a Technical Specialist to include:-

  • Leading a team of 4 technicians on shift

  • Resolving paint issues on site, from defect reporting to root cause analysis

  • Assessing and correcting paint repairs

  • Repairing and spraying where necessary

  • Colour matching and identification of issues

  • Carrying out formulated paint mixing to a very high standard

  • Communicating effectively with colleagues

  • Maintaining a colour library


THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to be a flexible, reliable individual with a background in automotive paint in a production environment, who is looking for a stable career in a fast paced environment. It is highly advantageous that you will have qualifications of apprenticeships within this sector.


Key experience essential for the Technical Specialist role:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in either the Automotive or Aerospace industries

  • Experience as a team leader or manager

  • Lives within a commutable distance to Crewe
