Who we are

Who we are looking for

We need reliable and passionate people to join our close-knit team of Support Workers, supporting people out in the community, as well in their own homes. The people you will be supporting have dual sensory loss and communication is key. You'll help them cook, clean, pay bills, apply for jobs, make friends and a thousand things in between. We will help you to do this by providing professional training.

Not got any experience?

Don’t worry! Those new to care will be fully supported. Our comprehensive training programme offers everyone – regardless of previous knowledge and experience – the chance to create a career they can be proud of.

What we need from you

You need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect. You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends. You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.

The benefits

The biggest benefit we offer is the chance to work with people who make you laugh and smile every day - in fact, in a recent survey of new starters 84% said they would consider recommending a friend to join United Response. But if you need more convincing, here's the full package:

• Paid annual leave
• Pension contribution
• Life assurance
• Childcare vouchers
• Access to free occupational health, physiotherapy, counselling and advice services
• Fully paid training and access to nationally recognised qualifications• Access to an online shopping platform with discounts from over 3,500 retailers
