Job Title: Personal Injury Technical Team leader

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To pro- actively manage the PI Litigation Teams/ Support Team on a daily basis, support and assist them as and when required
  • Provide feedback upon performance and address any issues with individuals should they arise
  • Have a strong knowledge of Case Law and PI Litigation to be able mentor the team members
  • Adhere to business reporting requirements ( monthly/ weekly)
  • The efficient risk assessment of liability/and quantum issues
  • Client care skills to include liaising with client's to obtain necessary instructions in relation to any allegations of liability, impecuniosity, fraud, or quantum and to effectively manage client expectations and act in their best interests at all times
  • To make relevant intel enquiries on cases where causation/fraud has been raised as an issue as a referral point for your team.
  • To assess quantum and be able to audit cases where applicable and report to LM any concerns
  • To maintain good professional working relationships both internally and externally
  • Deliver a quality service
  • First time resolution of customers queries - to reduce calls escalated
  • Identify process improvements
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Deal with any calls or queries where team members are unable to resolve and escalate as appropriate.

Skills and Experience Required

  • A minimum of 6 years RTA litigation with specific experience in PI Litigation
  • Handling files from inception to completion, including trial
  • Conducting case management conferences
  • Preparing applications
  • Reviews and risk assessments
  • Attending conferences with both clients and counsel (if necessary)
  • Knowledge of the civil court procedures and relevant case laws relevant to PI and credit hire
  • Previous Team leader Experience or assisting a Team Leader in their role
  • Carrying out individuals 1-2-1s
