What is the role?

You could join our busy office based Event Planning team and be responsible for actively identifying and engaging with existing and new customers in order to create/convert enquiries. You will make sure that client’s expectations are being exceeded to ensure repeat business and upselling opportunities.

You will support the rest of the team by coordinating enquiries and producing and updating function sheets for all events and completing all administration duties as required ensuring effective communication between team members and other departments.

You will be responsible for conducting client event meetings and present the stadium facilities efficiently and accurately to potential clients. Your customer service skills will ensure that every customer is given a polite, friendly, professional and personal service. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with excellent customer service skills. Having worked in an events role before, you will be confident building and developing strong client relationships and will have exceptional communication skills. You will maintain a detailed database of all clients, so attention to detail is essential to ensure that all records are accurate.

You must be creative and have the ability to manage your own time and use your initiative but also be a team player and be able to work well with others. 

The competencies which are required include:

Experience Essential
•At least 1 years’ experience within an events role.

Experience Desirable
•Hotel hospitality background would be advantageous;

Qualifications (incl. certifications) Essential
•GSCE in English and Mathematics A to C

Skills Essential
•Excellent customer service and organisation skills;
•Be able to manage own time effectively; 
•Exceptional communication & sales skills;
•Good understanding of the food and beverage service business; 
•Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment;
•Ability to build, develop and maintain good client relationships;
•Very good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
•Attention to detail and the ability to use own initiative alongside a team is essential;
•Creative in thinking and approach;
•Ability to self-motivate and consistently have a can-do attitude;
•Awareness of catering trends;
•Must be driven, enthusiastic and be of strong character;
•Must be able to manage a high workload whilst maintaining professionalism.
