This role would suit a business/economics/finance graduate or similar with a genuine interest in business, an analytical mindset, good ability to process complex information and excellent communication skills

The role supports the business auditors and is an essential part of the process when evaluating clients businesses; looking at tax, accounting and technical product information .


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Processing accounts and payroll data; making observations, spotting inconsistencies and feeding back to clients and/or report writing team
  • Providing any support necessary to report writing team to allow reports to be written more efficiently
  • Carrying out web based research into clients business activities and building case files
  • Preparing report templates
  • Constructing detailed written requests to director level to gain pertinent information
  • Ideally with some knowledge of tax/HMRC procedures but someone with the ability to quickly get up to speed with relevant HMRC legislation and with a good understanding of general wider accounting practices

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong academic record - the role requires ability to absorb, assimilate and analyse often complex material quickly. Degree (2:1) and 3 A levels (Grade A-C) preferred
  • Very Strong numeric skills + Strong written English ability
  • Experience of analysing financial documents and assimilating information from a variety of sources, able to spot inconsistencies in data
  • AAT Desirable but not essential
