Contract Specialist - Fibre/Telecoms- Warrington - £45,000pa
Leading Fibre Telecoms company requires a Contract Specialist to join a team based in Warrington.
You will support the commercial and contractual management across Field Service, Service Delivery and Commercial (Sales and Marketing) functions.
The role will ensure that the company are fully protected under the contract terms and comply with the relevant statutory requirements and proper governance is used in all contract management and operational commercial management requirements including other members of the Operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Collating, reviewing and advising on project costings from pre-sales to project completion.
*Working with the Head of Operations Contract Management to ensure systems are in place for good commercial governance and practices are established and maintained.
*Assisting in the preparation of tender packages, involving enquiries, analysis, negotiation and scope of works.
*Commercial management of projects including procurement, negotiation, valuation, and settlement of final account with suppliers in conjunction with senior members of the Contract Management, Field Services and Service Delivery Team.
*Working with Field Service/Service Delivery teams and suppliers to ensure flow of contract and commercial data into management team occurs in an accurate and timely manner.
*Preparing financial data from operations activities and issuing to finance.
*Producing in conjunction with the Project Teams project forecasts on a weekly and monthly basis, Cost to complete forecasts and supplier KPI measurement.
*Providing commercial and contractual support and advice to project teams including the preparation of contractual notices and correspondence. Including responsibility for the preparation and issuing responses to change control quotations and working with the field services and service delivery teams to issue Interim and Final Payment Certificates and statutory notices are issued correctly and on time. Negotiation of change control matters with Contractors.
*Ensuring that all contractual correspondence is completed on time by individual and field services/service delivery personnel.
*Assisting in the adoption of appropriate contracting strategies for the services to projects including network construction, POPs and other elements critical to infrastructure projects
To be considered for this role, you will be a strong Contract Specialist, ideally with Utilities or Civil Engineering experience (desirable).
You will also have the following skills & experience:
*Post-Contract experience in working for either a Contractor, Consultant or Client preferably in civil engineering and/or utilities
*Experience in ICC and NEC3 ECC Forms of Contract
*Knowledge of change management within the NEC3 ECC and ICC contract forms
*Experience of preparing numerical and written reports on a regular basis
*Negotiation experience
*Experience in an asset management organisation.
