Meat and Poultry Assessor / IQA

Our client is looking for a qualified Meat and Poultry Assessor to join their team in a split classroom and field based role in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

It is essential that candidates hold a CAVA / TAQA, A1 or D32/ D33 Assessing Award as you will be assessing Apprenticeships and qualifications in the Meat and Poultry Industry as well as Warehousing if occupationally competent.

An IQA, V1 or D34 Internal Verifier / Quality Assurer qualification and experience would be very desirable.

You will also need a teaching qualification such as PTLLS (AET), DTLLS (CET), Cert Ed or PGCE or equivalent.

You will need a strong background in Food Production and processing / the meat and poultry industry.

There are currently 4 learners although this number is anticipated to grow as this sector is a growth area for the employer. This role will be split between classroom based Tutoring and field based Assessing of Meat and Poultry qualifications. You may also deliver Functional Skills in Maths and English. Learners workplaces are generally within 40 minutes of Grantham.

Hours: Part Time hours - 3 days per week. Standard working hours per week are between Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm. 8.30am - 4.30pm Friday. Flexibility required on occasion to allow for travel when meeting learners in the workplace

Holidays: 37 days per annum + 8 days public holidays + 5 days of Christmas closure (Pro rata in line with hours worked)

Salary:£33 per hour

Travel:This is a split classroom and filed based role. Classroom is based in Grantham with travel to meet with learners in the workplace in Lincolnshire when required normally within 40 minutes. Own car business mileage 40p per mile for the first 20 miles then 30p per mile. Company pool car also available for use.

Type: Part Time and Permanent. Freelance may be considered.
