It’s an exciting time to be in the UK water industry. Until recently, most business customers have been unable to choose their water supplier, but this is changing.

Our client works closely with their business and public sector customers to provide a range of water services. As the market becomes increasingly competitive, they are driving service improvements to meet their customers’ changing expectations. With great customer service at the heart of everything they do, they’re winning new business and have a rapidly expanding team as a result.

Working as part of a dynamic customer support team, you will provide world class customer service to their business customers in accordance with their Service Assurance Framework. Managing day-to-day customer contact and resolving any issues in a timely and positive manner, you will work collaboratively with business customers and identify their needs through account review and tariff optimisation. Exceeding both personal and team KPI’s, you will work closely with their Business Account Managers to identify sales opportunities, develop qualified leads, securing appointments with key customers.

They’re looking for a confident and highly driven individual who has proven experience in a business-to-business customer service environment. With a strong customer focus and the ability to prioritise a conflicting and demanding workload, you will be capable of acting on own initiative, managing and resolving complex customer issues.

A committed team player with excellent negotiation skills, you will have a good understanding of customers’ needs giving you the ability to manage customer expectations and deliver on any promises made. You should be confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and be able to operate within a fast changing environment. An ability to analyse data to spot opportunities is a key requirement of this role. Experience of working in the utilities market would be highly desirable but this is not essential.

The successful candidates will have Maths and English GCSE’s (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, experience in a target driven customer services environment and are able to demonstrate excellent communication & numerical skills, with a great telephone manner, computer skills and effective written skills.

They have a rigid start date of Monday 21st November due to a two week training programme. You need to be able to attend all of this training as it is crucial to success in this role. Due to the tight time frames they will commence interviews prior to the closing date. They ask that you are available to interview between Tuesday 1st November and Friday 11st November.
