LEGAL SERVICES ASSISTANT - DEBT RECOVERY

Join a leading firm in Leeds and develop your career in this interesting area. You'll work with colleagues to manage a high volume caseload of mortgage arrears litigation cases as they act for lenders in the collection of arrears. Legal proceedings may follow where negotiations fail to achieve the required result. You'll be an anchor point for incoming mail, ensuring its proper distribution and preparing replies as appropriate. You will liaise with clients and third parties on a daily basis, assist with legal documentation and help with related activities, as well as instructing advocates as required. Skills gained in a similar professional office environment, ideally related to law, will be welcomed, although individuals with less experience but good customer services skills & a good working knowledge of popular software are also welcome to apply. Although not essential, a knowledge of recoveries or legal collections is especially desirable & an understanding of the County Court System would be appreciated, as would a basic knowledge of conveyancing.
