It is an exciting time for the UK water industry. At the moment most business customers have been unable to choose their water supplier, however, from April 2017 this is changing.

Our client is a new independent retail company within the water industry that is gearing up to join this competitive market in April 2017. Key to success in this new market will be to provide world class customer service.

They are building their new customer services team and are looking for exceptional people to help grow this new company. They have several vacancies for Customer Service Operatives.

In this target driven multi skilled role you will gain a broad understanding of the business and will work alongside all departments. You will assist the customer from their initial query right through to resolution delivering world class service. Their processes are debt recovery, payments, billing and operations. It is imperative that data is kept accurate and up to date at all times in order to bill accurately, resolve operational issues and deliver the customer service we aspire to within agreed levels of service.

Negotiating & reviewing account balances, setting payment arrangements, billing, operational issues, data collection and updates are some of the tasks you will take ownership for. You will liaise with key stakeholder and customers on customer service and operational issues so excellent communication skills is a must.  


This multi-faceted target driven role requires excellent negotiation and great organisational skills, a fantastic eye for detail with a can do attitude. Successful applicants will be trained on a variety of systems. Analytical skills are highly desirable within their business.

The successful candidates will have Maths and English GCSE’s (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, experience in a target driven customer services environment and are able to demonstrate excellent communication & numerical skills, with a great telephone manner, computer skills and effective written skills.

They have a rigid start date of Monday 21st November due to a two week training programme. You need to be able to attend all of this training as it is crucial to success in this role. Due to the tight time frames they will commence interviews prior to the closing date. They ask that you are available to interview between Tuesday 1st November and Friday 11st November.
