A well known Electronics organisation, whom we work very closely with are currently recruiting for a Process Technician in Northampton.
You will be working for one of the world's innovative electronics organisations who, are at the epitome of cutting edge technology.
As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for performing manufacturing operations within the MOCVD department including working with various computer software packages including specialist or bespoke computer systems and using microscopes to inspect processed material.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out manufacturing activities according to process instructions.
Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of complex computer controlled equipment involved in the manufacture of photonic devices and other related products.
Perform any and all characterisation, data recording and production support functions
Maintain daily checklists for process equipment.
Provide support to ensure standard yields and cycle times are met.
Essential Requirements:
Good manual dexterity required for small/delicate components.
Ability to work as a team to achieve targets combined with good communication skills
Be able to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines
Ability to multi task
Attention to detail
Computer literacy essential
Knowledge of Microsoft Office an advantage
Experience:
Working within a high-technology manufacturing or production environment an advantage.
Working within a cleanroom environment advantageous but not essential
Experience of working with chemicals an advantage.
Shift patterns will be initially rotating (early shift/late shift), with overtime as determined by production requirements. The long term shift pattern is to be determined, but may include night shift working - There will be a 20-30% fee on top of your salary for this.
The ability to attend site is essential, the site is situated in a rural location and is not served by public transport.
