Their Vital Spa and leisure club includes 6 treatment rooms, 2 nail bars, a thermal suite and technogym. Offering an exclusive range of spa treatments using Elemis and Jessica products the main responsibilities of the role will be to prescribe and sell retail products to all their clients.
Essential
You should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy
Specifics of the Role
- To have a basic knowledge of Leisure Club Rules and Regulations.
- To be familiar with all hotel facilities, events and activities.
- To deal with customer comments and complaints in the correct manner and in line with company procedure.
- To take Spa/Beauty treatment bookings following the correct procedures as outlined in the Spa Standard Operating Procedure.
- To work on the club / spa reception, meeting and greeting guests as and when required.
- To ensure the Spa treatment rooms, relaxation areas and lounge are kept to a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
- To carry our spa treatments to a high standard ensuring client confidentiality and high levels of customer care at all times.
- To carry out a full client consultation prior to performing any spa treatment.
- Use the company home prescription form to prescribe retail products to all clients during and following spa treatments.
- To report for work on time, dressed in clean uniform and wearing appropriate name badge.
- To assist the Senior Therapist / Spa Manager and Club Manager with all promotions and offers, providing ideas and plans to help increase business levels.
- To ensure all equipment is in safe working order, maintained and serviced to the required standard.
- To achieve all treatment and retail targets set by your Spa Manager or Club Manager.
- To suggest methods of promoting and up-selling the spa, to pro actively drive column space with telephone calling to hotel residents and spa client data base.
- To ensure all charges for services are correctly raised in accordance with procedures laid down, taking responsibility for monies taken.
- To be responsible for the control of all stocks; towels, guest supplies and cleaning chemicals and ensure they are kept to adequate levels when asked to do so.
- To assist with salon and retail stock checks when requested to do so by the Spa Manager.
- To complete any necessary paperwork and produce reports as requested by the Club Manager, Spa Manager, General Manager, Human Resources Manager or Head Office.
- To be fully aware of health and safety policy, COSHH, fire and bomb procedures and to be responsible for the safety and security of the Spa.
- To carry out any reasonable task as requested by Management.

- Achieve budgeted spa treatment & retail sales.
- To control costs, expenses and payroll in line with Budget.
- To achieve the company occupancy target.
- To achieve the company yield per treatment room target.
- To achieve the company retail conversion target.

- All equipment to be operated in line with trained instructions.
- Equipment and premises to be maintained in a clean, working condition.
- Personal protective equipment to be worn/ used in line with company guidelines.
- Prompt response to be given to the service needs of, and feelings expressed by customers.
- Opportunities to be taken to promote products to customers at every opportunity.
- Customer satisfaction to be checked during customer's visit to department.
- Accurate payments to be dealt with in accordance with the Hotel's standards and the company's cash handling procedures.
- All visitors to be warmly received and their needs anticipated in an appropriate manner.
- To participate fully in reviews and meetings.
- Positive working relationships to be established and maintained with colleagues throughout the hotel.
- Company Handbook to be abided by, and employees to be aware of any changes made.
- Commitment to be displayed to training through participation, and sign off of training records, and application of learning in the workplace.
- Full compliance and commitment to Absolute Care standards.
- Any other reasonable request made by a manager of the company.
