Covering: North & East Midlands, Manchester, Merseyside and South Yorkshire.
Ideally the applicant would live in North Midlands or South Yorkshire and be willing to travel to all these areas from their home base.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is passionate about working with volunteers to provide an excellent programme of support and information in the community to those living with and affected by osteoporosis. You will have had experience of recruiting, inducting, training and managing volunteers in a variety of settings, ideally with volunteers in community groups and teams. You will also have experience of working with health professionals and other stakeholders in both primary and secondary care and have been involved in delivering quality patient education and support services.
In particular, you will be a champion for volunteer involvement and passionate about working with members of the public, patients, carers and health professionals to deliver quality programmes of education and peer support. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and creative with strong interpersonal, collaborative and facilitative skills. You will be able to motivate, guide and enthuse a wide range of people working at various levels, with confidence to work across organisational boundaries.
As well as sound volunteer management experience, you will have had experience of developing and running a variety of events and meetings for different audiences and excellent presentation skills. An ability to work flexibly around events and meetings and travel in the region is essential, as is capability of working remotely.
