Permanent Position
Salary: Circa 30,000
Role:
Due to expansion, a large UK Manufacturing business based in Blackburn is looking to take on a Steel Fabricator with a strong Manufacturing background. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about Manufacturing and has the right Fabrication skills. - Your role will be a mixture of manufacturing and project support by carrying out light steel fabrication in the Blackburn facility
- Developing maintenance routines and protocols for mobile equipment
- Repair to any trolleys, ladders, brackets, racking and duct work installation
- Work closely with the Engineering, Production and Dispatch departments
- Maintenance inspections on all ladders, trucks and other mobile equipment
- MIG/Stick welding and Plasma cutting
- Time served with a fabrication background and some mechanical knowledge
- Must have a very strong manufacturing background
- Good plasma cutting and welding ability (MIG/Stick)
- Background working with different sheet materials (PVC/Metal/Wood)
- Able to interpret production requirements to enable the manufacture of jigs
- Able to train and develop others
- Background working in a lean manufacturing environment
- Ability to drive a fork lift truck (Training will be given)
- Ability to drive cherry picker or scissor lifts (Training will be given)
