Hours: Full time - 38 hours per week
Salary: £22,000 per annum
Locations: Positions available in HACKNEY, WALTHAM FOREST, CHINGFORD AND THE ASD SPECIALIST SERVICE

Job Ref: CSC1091

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join one of three teams, working with adults on the Autism Spectrum and learning disabilities in either Hackney, Chingford, Waltham Forest and the ASD Specialist Service.

If you feel you can bring a fresh approach, new ideas and a commitment to supporting people with learning disabilities and Autism to have genuine control over their lives, play an active role in the community and develop as individuals, then we want to hear from you. We empower our clients to develop the skills and competencies needed to live as valued members of their community and feel equal to their peers.

You should have a commitment to working with people on the Autism Spectrum, excellent people skills and an ability to work positively with people whose behaviour can challenge.

This post involves coordinating customers’ care packages, and providing line management for the support workers, volunteers and apprentices supporting these customers. A good knowledge of Support Planning and Risk Assessment planning, coupled with good IT skills, are essential.

This is a challenging role and a fantastic opportunity for someone with the right skills and aptitude to develop their career in management and/or the growing field of autism. You will be working in one of a group of specialist services for people on the Autism Spectrum, with the opportunities for professional development this brings.
This post is offered on a full time (38 hours per week) basis and you will be required to work some evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will also provide out of hours, on-call support for which additional payments are made.

We are committed to equal opportunities and welcome applications from all sections of the community. The organisation is a member of the Newlon Group.

If the post you apply for involves working with or having access to adults at risk and/or their records, we will require an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Services for successful candidates. This will be fully subsidised by us.
