Our client, a family run company, have just taken over a successful Boutique Hotel set on the edge of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park but with easy access to Conwy, Llandudno and the North Wales Expressway. They are currently actively recruiting for a Chef to join their team.
As the Chef, you will continue the high standards and excellent name that has been achieved by the previous owners whilst aiming to increase trade by re-opening the 24 cover restaurant to the public for evening meals.
The successful candidate will have the drive and ambition needed to help build the restaurant into a destination location for fine dining to complement the existing hotel trade. You will have the imagination and skill to create a simple but creative menu based on local seasonal ingredients.
Applicants must have relevant experience of working at Sous Chef level, wishing to take the next step to running their own kitchen with the potential to be a named chef. You will be involved in the grass routes level of styling, advertising, menu planning and be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining impeccable levels of health and hygiene to maintain our client's 5* rating. The job will initially be working on your own, temporarily including busy weekend breakfasts but as the business grows you will be responsible for creating a small team.
