PHP Developer / Software Engineer / Web Developer

Job Title: PHP Developer

Location: Bridgend, near Cardiff

Salary: £22,500 - £30,000 per annum (Experience Depending)

Position: 40 hours - normal working week

Job Role:

The company is currently recruiting a PHP Developer and are looking for a motivated, confident, and hard working person to fit into their strong team. You will thrive in a varied and exciting role working on supporting and expanding a wide range of existing bespoke systems along with regular greenfield projects.

The successful candidate must have the following skills:

• Proven experience with OO PHP (Symfony) & MySQL
• Demonstrable experience of HTML, CSS & JavaScript (including frameworks);
• Demonstrable experience of version control systems (Git/SVN)
• Willingness to learn new technologies;
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal;
• Must have a "can do" attitude and a strong work ethic;

Abilities:

• Fast learner and a meticulous attention to detail
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team

The following experience would be highly advantageous:

• Knowledge of other programming languages (Go, C etc.)
• Experience with all of the major Symfony versions
• Distributed Message Queues (RabbitMQ, Gearman)
• Ability to write unit tests and understand continuous integration
• Experience with Facebook/Google advertising API's

A real enthusiasm and willingness to learn will also be a requirement for consideration for this position.
