Our company client is a reputable financial services institution who are currently looking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious new Chief Risk Officer to join their talented team office based in either Kent or London. The new Risk Officer will play an integral role within the senior management team and will be reporting independently to the Bank's Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee whilst overseeing all aspects of the Bank's risk management function.
Top responsibilities for this role will include:
* Act as the Approved Person by managing the day to day responsibilities to ensure that risks are identified, measured, monitored, controlled and mitigated against.
* Ensure business meets its legal and regulatory responsibilities.
* Use knowledge to take a more sophisticated view on their risk management function to ensure that emphasis is in the right places.
Main skills and qualifications required:
* Eight to ten years operational risk experience gained from a reputable financial services institution
* Broader knowledge surrounding financial risk, mainly liquidity
* Educated to degree level with a recognised risk or financial services qualification.
* Proven track record of leading large, successful team
* Credible in presenting complex information
* Excellent communication and planning skills.
