Asset Manager

This is an opportunity to join the largest independent black and minority ethnic (BME) Housing Association in the North West. They work mainly in the inner cities of Manchester, Trafford and Stockport. With its roots in the African Caribbean Community, the association champions the provision of quality affordable homes and services in sustainable multi-cultural neighbourhoods. With over 1000 homes in ownership and management, their asset base is £57 million and turnover is in the region of £4.8 million. They are currently seeking a:

Asset Manager
Part time - 28 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday)
Salary: up to £37,083 (pro rata based on F/T 35 hours per week)

They are looking for a flexible and innovative individual who has the skills to manage their Maintenance Team during a challenging time for the sector.

The primary focus will be on providing a major works, cyclical maintenance and improvement service for their homes in addition to playing a major role in the association's development initiatives.

The successful candidate will posses a building related degree or relevant professional qualification. In addition they will be a strong leader, able to alternate between strategic decision making and supporting the practical, hands on day-to-day operations of a small to medium sized community housing association.

You must be self motivated, solution focussed and able to act as a positive role model. A high level of technical ability and experience will be crucial l to succeed in the role.
