Production Operator – Blown Film / Mesh Department
Liverpool, Merseyside
£23,000 (rising to £25,300 on completion of training) Plus Discretionary Bonus, Pension, Free Parking, Overtime Available, 20 Days’ Holiday

Established and constantly growing, our client is a leading plastics processor. They are currently looking for a Production Operator to join their Blow Film / Mesh Department.

If you’re a hands-on manufacturing professional from a blown film, printing or plastics background, this is a superb opportunity to take on a fresh, new challenge.

Our client fosters a rewarding environment where employees’ efforts are celebrated and provides a variety of training opportunities to ensure that staff are able to reach their full potential.

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of plastics processing activities to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our client’s plant.

You’ll conduct blown film and mesh processing and its associated activities, ensuring that you work to the highest standards in regards to health and safety, quality, housekeeping and production.

To be considered, you must have at least two years’ hands-on experience of working in a blown film, printing or plastics manufacturing environment, which ideally included setting up run parameters.

As a Production Operator, you must have good organisational skills, the ability to work independently and a team player mentality.

Previous QA experience, including measuring and testing plastic sheets and profiles would be beneficial to your application, as would a good understanding of machine mechanics and settings. A RTITB FLT licence would also be advantageous, as would First Aid At Work training.

Experience of the following would also be beneficial: plastic processing, blending and setting up machines, downstream film equipment, or working in a continuous process manufacturing environment within the chemical, printing or plastics industry.

Please note, the working hours for this role are 12 hour shift patterns, working 4 days on 7:00 – 19:00, 3 days off, 3 nights on 19:00 – 7:00, 4 days off.
