Class 1 Driver

LWC Drinks LTD is a UK distributor of beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and associated sundries for re-wholesale and wholesale to the "Off-trade" and "On-trade".

Reporting directly to the Distribution Co-Ordinator, Warehouse & Distribution Manager and Depot Manager, the purpose of the Class 1 Driver will be to deliver products to customers in a safe and freindly manner, be responsible for the care and upkeep of their designated vehicle and to provide excellent customer service standards to every customer.

Key Responsibilities of the Class 1 Driver

- The responsibility of preparing the vehicle by conducting operator maintenance, ensuring all customer pallets have been loaded and secured correctly and safetly.

- Responsible for completing deliveries and all paperwork is completed correctly and returned to site

- Execute any special requests from customers by picking up and delivering items as directed on the delivery note or collection note authorised by the office.

- Responsibility for the checking of the drivers delivery planning  board for your daily schedule.

- To plan your route and requirements for the deliveries / collections by studying the schedule and any requests by the customer that are on the delivery note.

- Make customers aware of any stock shortages or problems with their deliveries and telephone the office to confirm.

- Responsible for returning all empty kegs.

- Ensure that correct health and safety procedures are observed and adhered to.

- To complete all required checks and ensure that check sheets are passed to the Distribution Co-Ordinator/ Manager.

- The ability to help in the warehouse when required.

- To look presentable in the correct LWC Drinks uniform at all times.

- To comply with recognised VOSA and working time guidelines and laws.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required by the Class 1 Driver

- Good safety practices and driving habits

- Posesess the correct driving licence required for the vehicle

- Good communication skills

- Excellent Customer Service Skills
