What are we looking for?

+ You are super motivated and hard-working and we can find a role for you with 2 or ten years’ experience.
+ You enjoy solving problems sometimes alone sometimes by collaboration.
+ You probably prefer a command line to a GUI.
+ Great knowledge of Linux and or Windows Systems Administration / Engineering.
+ You enjoy automating stuff where possible and have great scripting skills.
+ You are sociable and enjoy working in a team.
+ You want to continue to improve your technical skills.
+ You don’t mind talking to clients
+ You are happy to get involved in Support, pre-sales design and research projects into new technologies.
+ Detailed understanding of VMWare and Storage technologies
+ Fluency and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.

The Systems Administrator Role:

+ You will be a member of a small team of sys admins / engineers that take pride in their work and focus on delivering to tight deadlines.
+ You will get involved in Support, pre-sales design and research projects into new technologies
+ You will be responsible for the end-to-end installation of new systems for clients
+ You will need a ‘can do ‘ attitude
+ You will find the work challenging but very rewarding and it will provide the opportunity to play with all the latest technology

What it takes:

If you’re hard working and ambitious, genuinely enjoy building rapport and trust with existing and potential clients, and you’re obsessed with cloud technology, you’re halfway there.

Systems Administrator Technical Skills Required:

+ Windows (2012 R2, Windows 2012, 2008 R2, 2008, 2003 acceptable)
+ Linux (At least one of: Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, Redhat)
+ Virtualisation (At least one of: VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer)
+ SAN (At least one major vendor, using FC, iSCSI, NFS or ATAoE)
+ Backups and Replication (Use of Veeam or other DR products)
Concepts (i.e. at least an understanding of)
+ TCP/IP networking / subnetting
+ DNS
+ Firewalling / ports
+ Disks / RAID
+ NTP
+ Virtualisation
+ Data Backup and Retention Techniques
