Established in 1997, our client is a family run not-for-profit organisation whose sole purpose is ‘to provide residential and supported accommodation services for homeless people or people with little or no housing choice’.  They employ a committed workforce of 120 members of staff, who provide a broad range of residential and social care services designed to meet the diverse needs of over 300 vulnerable men, women, children and young people across Merseyside.

They are now looking to appoint a Registered Manager to join them at their home located in Liverpool.

Within this role, you will be accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and young people resident within the home.  You will be responsible for delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home, and all day to day management matters. 

You will be expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person.  This involves being personally available, the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home. 

In order to be successful you should hold a Diploma Level 5 or NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care and Leadership and Management, coupled with significant Residential childcare experience (5 years minimum).

Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you are a Qualified Social Worker, possess a Post Qualifying Award and hold a D32/33 or A1 Assessor Award.

While the Registered Manager is employed for 37.5 hours per week, the role may involve evening, weekend and sleeping-in duties.  Due to the nature of the role, a valid full driving licence is also essential.
