Bray Leino BroadCare is a specialist boutique software development company who have been developing market leading software products for over 10 years.  Bray Leino BroadCare are developing a suite of web and mobile applications for the Healthcare Industry and are currently looking for an experienced Software Project Manager to join the team. 

Bray Leino Group, part of the mission, is a UK top 20 integrated communications and technology group with energetic businesses spanning software development, advertising, digital, 3D spaces, media, direct response, training and PR.  More than 300 people work here across sites in Cheshire, Bristol and North Devon, serving a wide range of national and international businesses.  The mission is made up of 13 specialist Agencies employing over 900 people in 24 offices that take in the length and breadth of the UK as well as offices in Asia and San Francisco.

The Role:

As a Software Project Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects from initiation through to delivery on time, in scope and within budget. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and well organised Software Project Manager to join our team to work with our clients to plan and deliver successful projects. Projects will include Software Development and deployment, including Web, Mobile and Desktop, elements of data migration, business intelligence reporting and business change.

This is an exciting time to join the team as we are looking to significantly develop the business and the products we offer to our clients.  This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone to play a key role in ensuring client delivery in this period of growth.

You will work day-to-day with the Development, Design and QA teams and continuously stay in touch with clients.  You will need to be able to take a balanced view of the delivery of solutions across time, cost and quality and be able to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Key responsibilities:

  • To lead and coordinate the scoping, technical requirements gathering, estimating and planning for single or multiple projects
  • To anticipate, manage and resolve issues, risks and dependencies that may impact on the delivery of the projects
  • Assemble the project team, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Leverage technical expertise for project planning, resource management, system / technology / validation, testing and implementation planning
  • Provide technical and leadership guidance and direction to the team to ensure accurate and timely completion of work
  • To act as a first point of contact for all problems and obstacles on a project
  • To ensure that project progress is reported in an accurate and timely manner
  • To ensure that all projects are delivered with quality as a priority and that appropriate levels of testing and technical governance is carried out
  • Proactive and understanding approach to working and negotiating with others, with strong negotiating and influencing skills

 

 

 

 

Desired Experience:

  • Experience of successfully delivering complex software / IT projects
  • Degree or equivalent qualification/experience in IT/ ICT / Computer Science / Engineering
  • PMP / Prince II / Agile or equivalent experience, would all be desirable
  • Experience of managing resources, budgets and performance expectations effectively in order to drive business and service performance, accepting personal accountability for results
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to motivate people
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to work with staff and individuals from different organisations and at different levels of seniority
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Evidence of analytical, investigative and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise a varied and substantial workload
