Research Contracts Officer

Band 6 (£26302-£35225)

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional individual to join the Research Support Services Team within the R&D Division.

The role is challenging and rewarding and will involve supporting research delivery within the Trust by ensuring that contracts are negotiated and concluded in an effective manner, having regard for project requirements, risk management, internal policies, external stakeholder requirements and applicable legislation.

Detailed responsibilities are focused on: reviewing and negotiating research related agreements including research contracts, collaboration agreements, intellectual property clinical trial agreements, developing and maintaining standard templates and effective procedures and providing advice to other members of the team.

Candidates must have a considerable contracts management experience or a professional legal qualification as well as excellent communication skills.
