Qualifications Required
• Educated to a reasonable level GCSE (including English and Maths)
• IPC Qualification desirable

Your Role as the SMT Operator:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor/SMT Manager you will be populating PCB’S to high quality standards. You will also be required to take responsibility for your own training and learning and development activities. Your main responsibilities will be:
• Liaising with line Technician with regard to; time scales, documentation and other general queries
• OLS Duties
• Receiving job pack, components and boards from OLS
• Studying job pack for instructions
• Setup all necessary equipment and carry out necessary checks
• Operate machine ( Paste Printer, Pick And Place, Reflow oven, Label Printer, Paste Inspection, X-ray and Paste Spinner )
• Basic vision check
• Ensure all paperwork is up to date (stamping)
• Wash and label PCB’s

Additional Responsibilities

• Liaising with QA and Engineer Staff on quality problems
• Basic Maintenance ( Paste Printer, Pick And Place and Reflow oven )
• Paste Printer Programming
• Basic Pick and Place programming ( Setup changes and scheduling ) with supervision
• Ensure that all health and safety requirements are followed in line with company policy and procedures

Your Knowledge and Skills
• Ability to read and interpret job packs
• Knowledge of components and board layout
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on repetitive tasks
• Confident in working towards and achieving set deadlines
• Demonstrable pro-active & flexible approach
