The used books are primarily sourced from charities around Britain and sold across a variety of platforms, including Amazon, eBay and WorldofBooks.com.
Operations Manager key responsibilities:
As Operations Manager, you will provide strategic leadership to the warehouse operation and ensure the smooth running of the World of Books business.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results within specified timeframes and budget, along with experience of managing and motivating teams.
Experience of implementing operational strategy process and improvement methodologies is essential.

As Operations Manager, you will provide strategic leadership to the warehouse operation and ensure the smooth running of the World of Books business.
- Full responsibility for maintaining and improving the performance, productivity, processes and profitability of business operations by developing and implementing effective methods and strategies.
- Planning, developing and implementing strategies for operational management to meet agreed KPI’s within budget and timescales.
- Building, developing and maintaining an effective warehouse management team through close monitoring, mentoring and clear communication.
- Complying with and make positive contribution to all company policy, rules and procedures for Health & Safety.
- Accurately completing the management control system (MCC) daily, identify low performance/ anomalies in productivity or quality and act upon information in a timely manner.
- Heading change projects to ensure successful implementation
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results within specified timeframes and budget, along with experience of managing and motivating teams.
