Job Role:

Can you help to increase the number of volunteers for our Client? They need ambassadors across their retail business to engage with their ever increasing volunteer community and keep it growing!

Reporting to the Regional Manager and working very closely with the Volunteering team in London you will recruit volunteers within your region to achieve their goal of over 11,500 nationally. Whilst ensuring National best practice standards are delivered on a local level you'll develop strong relationships with schools & colleges and also maintain their current programmes with Prison volunteers and the Job Centre. Using your expertise you will create an attractive volunteering proposition that retains people through engagement.

You will ideally have previous volunteer operations experience from a multi-site organisation. An excellent organiser you will be used to working on many different projects and have the ability to use your confident communication skills to develop essential relationships across the Organisation and beyond.

They have 450 charity shops across the country that ultimately provides 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical and emotional support every year. This is a key role within their retail business that enables them to continue doing this with the help of their volunteers.

The South West Volunteer Coordinator will cover the West Region which includes, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Wiltshire, Gloucester, the Cotswold and South Wales. This role can be home based with regular travel within your region of up to 15,000-20,000 miles per year to meet business needs.
