Senior Quality Engineer

Global Organisation currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer/Quality Engineer /Quality Manager to assist in leading their successful ( QA/QC ) Quality Assurance /Quality Control Team, who continue to drive their competitive edge through high performance.

Role Purpose:

The Senior Quality Engineer will develop, implement and audit company project quality processes that add value to the organisation via software and hardware. This role will initially have one direct report.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work with project and departmental managers to identify non-conformance and to assist in the implementation of cost-effective, timely solutions.
• Assist in leading Process Improvement and to provide training, advice and practical assistance in the implementation of agreed processes.
• Assist in the preparation of responses to tenders by preparing appropriate, customer focused quality plans ensuring that these meet bid requirements and are commercially sound
• Perform quality assurance and audit activities during all stages of the project life cycle and covering relevant international standards.
• Work with Bid Managers in formulating responses to ITT and Pre-Qualification Quality related requirements.
• Maintain an awareness of and bring to the attention of the management team, and relevant statutory, legislative or best practices relevant to quality and the company.
• Comply with (QMS) Quality Management System.

Essential Skills:

• In-depth knowledge and experience in a software OR hardware development industry
• Good working knowledge of the ISO 9000 +
• Experience of liaising at senior management level
• Pro-active Quality Assurance skills
• Bid/tender management

Desirable:

• Experience within a high-tech commercial environment
• Knowledge of software development methodologies
• Experience of production engineering or site installation
• Knowledge of ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 14001
• Auditor Qualification

Qualifications:

HNC or equivalent within an Engineering discipline

Desirable:

BSc in an Engineering or Quality discipline
