Role Purpose
Private Law is a highly regarded and successful division within Blake Morgan, comprising Succession & Tax, Family and Residential Conveyancing. It generates fees of over GBP10m, has 120 people and locations in London, Southampton, Portsmouth, Cardiff and Oxford.
Private Law is a highly regarded and successful division within Blake Morgan, comprising Succession & Tax, Family and Residential Conveyancing. It generates fees of over GBP10m, has 120 people and locations in London, Southampton, Portsmouth, Cardiff and Oxford.
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious lawyer to join the Succession & Tax team. The Portsmouth team comprises over 30 people and generates fees of GBP2.5m. The successful individual will be involved in the management of the team.
The role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their technical and management skills, and to build their career within a leading law firm.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate is likely to have at least five years experience within Succession and Tax. They will have strong technical skills, allied with good business development, inter-personal and leadership skills. The level of the appointment is likely to be at Associate / Senior Associate level, depending on current level of seniority and experience.
Qualifications Required
Confident and personable
Strong technical competence and intellectual ability.
Leadership skills
A team player
Good communication skills (oral and written).
Commercial awareness
Ability and enthusiasm to become involved in practice development
