Report to: Financial Controller
Wentworth Club is looking for an Interim Management Accountant to join our Accounts Team on a 3 -6 month basis.
Wentworth Club is one of the world's finest private members' golf and country clubs, and is famous for its Championship golf, three outstanding courses, and a Tennis & Health Club that sets the standard in its class. We are currently undergoing an exciting multi-million pound refurbishment, and we are looking for our Interim Management Accountant to provide financial support to the business during this period.
Main Duties would include:
Produce the draft Management Accounts pack to timetable, variance analysis and commentary for GBP20M revenue business.
Assist the finance team where applicable, ensuring day to day tasks are completed on a timely basis to ensure month end process is efficient.
Work together with the Financial Accountant on balance sheet reconciliations.
Preparation of year end accounts and statutory accounts with support from the FC, liaising with auditors as required.
Coordinate and attend business unit stocktakes with internal teams/external company and prepare stock reconciliations.
Responsibility for various other projects within the business and providing financial training and support to other departments as required.
Personal Specification:
Qualified or qualified by experience
Minimum 3 years financial experience with previous responsibility for Management Accounts, commercial analysis and stock management.
Experience of developing and implementing changes to operating procedures is desirable
Intermediate Excel knowledge (including look ups and pivot tables)
Ability to use initiative and work pro-actively with strong problem solving skills
Highly numerate with strong organizational capability
