Contract Supervisor
Salary and benefits: c£25k + vehicle + benefits
Based at Sandbach with travel across Cheshire
Our client provide specialist services to the construction and waste recycling industries with circa 1,000 employees and a turnover in excess of £100m.
As the Contract Supervisor you will work closely with the senior management team to manage the performance of contracts across designated Household Recycling Centres through a rigorous inspection regime in order to ensure achievement of all contractual obligations and to pro-actively identify areas for service improvements at a strategic and operational level.
To be considered, candidates will ideally be educated to degree level in waste management, environmental sciences or a business discipline. Reporting to the Area Contracts Manager, you will have a background in site audits and inspections and have the ability to identify problems and provide recommendations to resolve. A CoTC qualification in Hazardous Waste transfer is also desirable. A driving licence is essential and you should be prepared to undertake extensive travel throughout Cheshire.
As the successful Contract Supervisor you will:
- Performance manage and influence sub-contractors and motivate employees to ensure they meet their contractual obligations.
- Proven practical experience of IT, such as windows/MS office and spreadsheets is essential.
- Devise, develop and implement agreed operational plans to ensure Household Waste Recycling Centres are meeting the required standards.
- Produce action plans to meet the requirements of the Company’s key priorities.
- Lead in quality and service improvements across the area, working with stakeholders to ensure all aspects of service provision are appropriately quality assured.
- Support the Contracts Manager at internal and external meetings and on occasion to represent him/her.
- Continuously improve customer satisfaction and Site recycling rates with an emphasis on actively guiding and coaching Site staff to strive for performance and service improvements.
