Hatchery Production Operative- Quainton Hatchery
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hatchery Operative working in a varied, hands-on role within a small team in the Hatchery at Quainton, Buckinghamshire. Full training will be provided.

You will be working for a leading supplier of chicken turkey and duck products into an impressive range of customers in the UK retail and food service sectors. They are a fully integrated business controlling the whole product supply chain, which include feed mills, farms, hatcheries and factories with associated transport and logistics functions that employ more than 3500 people.

The Role:
- Ensuring chicks are sorted into the required grades and quantities ready for farm delivery
- Assisting in the effective movement of eggs from storage, to incubating machines, to hatching machines
- Liaising with delivery Drivers, Hatchery Managers, Engineers and other Operatives to help the factory run smoothly
- Ensuring that all equipment is cleaned after use to the required high standards, as Bio-Security is of upmost importance
- Ensuring that processes are completed safely and efficiently
- Monday – 06:00 to 16:15
- Tuesday – 06:00 to 15:45
- Wednesday – 06:00 to 12:30
- Thursday – 06:00 to 16:15
- Friday – 06:00 to 15:45
Key Skills & Experience:
This is a physically demanding role and involves lifting chick boxes of up to 15kgs.
Successful candidates will be:
- Flexible and hard working
- Enthusiastic and with a positive attitude to team work
- Previous experience within a poultry environment is desirable, however full training will be provided
- Previous production/factory experience is also desirable as the work is similar
