In the UK, they provide a national physical and on-line auction network, comprising 17 centres. They also provide vehicle inspection, repair, reconditioning and pre-sale preparation; transport; logistics; full defleet management and outsourced end-of-contract administration. In addition, they are the UK’s leading automotive digital marketing specialist providing retail marketing and specialist web marketing support to more than 85% of the Top 200 UK dealer groups.

Due to the significant growth in the volume of both vans and trucks in their sales channels, they are now adapting their six-acre site in Coventry to become a dedicated auction centre for HGVs, and is set to open in January 2017.

About the Role

They are now looking to recruit a resourceful, inventive and self-confident General Manager to help them continue to provide their clients with the most effective HGV remarketing solution.

Delivering the HGV financial targets, maximising efficiencies and effectively controlling overheads and resource costs, you will support the business in developing an understanding of their HGV client’s needs and wants and work with support teams to provide innovative and industry leading solutions that meet the changing needs of the HGV auction market. You will take responsibility for developing relationships with buyers and vendors and for identifying opportunities to build new business for the HGV remarketing business.

Ensuring service delivery to clients meets all contractual and quality KPIs and SLAs, you should identify and develop innovative methods to continually improve performance and champion and embrace the use of multichannel remarketing platforms, ensuring that all areas of the company and the HGV auction centres understand the importance and impact of their online business.

About You

Having previously worked within a B2B HGV environment, you will display high competence in respect of HGV product knowledge and have proven leadership experience to include successfully managing a large team. You will need to have experience in financial, budgetary and strategy planning and be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal format. Producing a high level of quality service to team members and customers, you will be able to delegate responsibilities and have a good understanding of organisational culture and how to successfully manage change.

Dependable, professional and amendable, you will be comfortable working within a fast paced business environment and be able to manoeuvre and develop business procedures. With excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, you should be able to create and deliver strategies for improvement and build good working relationships at all levels of the business.
