About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Workers within our two homes in Edgbaston; we have both full & part time opportunities available.

As a Support Worker you will support people to live more independent lives in their home and local community.  This may include assisting with people’s personal care, their dietary requirements, shopping and social activities.

We are looking for caring people who have the empathy and patience to positively focus on the people we support.

Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives.

If you do have experience that’s great! We also have ‘Experienced Support Worker’ opportunities in this location where we are looking people who have recent experience of providing practical support (including personal care) with vulnerable people in a home, community or education setting and to have also gained a Level 2 Diploma in health and social care or equivalent experience.  The Experienced Support Worker role has an annual salary of up to £16,401 (£8.41 per hour).

Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins; we will however provide you with a rota in advance so you can plan your life accordingly.

*For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a female only for one of the roles in Edgbaston (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.
