Nursery Nurse

A school in Barking and Dagenham is looking for an experienced Nursery Nurse to work in their nursery/reception class.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in the nursery or reception class
  • Keeping the children engaged to ensure social, emotional and behavioural development
  • Preparing the books of the children
  • Carry out observations of the children
  • Accompany the class on trips where necessary
  • Ensuring the safety of the children at all times
  • Using own initiative to create an interesting learning environment for the children

To be successful for the position, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Have a Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • Strong person with experience working with EYFS children
  • Understand the phonics system used in schools
  • Can demonstrate understanding of the EYFS Framework
  • Be creative
  • Be caring and work as part of a team
  • Desired: Safeguarding training
