JOB TITLE: Finance Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP40 - GBP48,000 pro-rata
WORKING HOURS: 30 - 40 hours per week by agreement
THE COMPANY: Our client has been established for many years and has several surgeries in the Portsmouth area. They have always been proud of their history and heritage of providing top quality care for all their patients. They have an exciting opportunity available for a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
THE ROLE: For the role of the Finance Manager will work as an integral part of the Management Team to ensure that the Practice operates in a profitable and cost-effective manner in keeping with the financial aspirations of the Group Business Manager and Partners.
Key Responsibilities for the Finance Manager role to include:-
• Support the management team
• Analysis of the adverse / favourable / trending movements between budgets and actual income/expenditure as part of the performance management process
• Significant involvement in the annual budget setting process and on-going in year budget maintenance / reconciliation
• Identifying potential areas of cost and/or performance improvement, whilst challenging existing and pre-conceived services provided and also the on-going monitoring of such plans once implemented, particularly in the initiation/early stages and an annual review
• Provide ongoing financial advice and support and answer queries arising from the financial reports and to produce ad hoc reports and analysis as required
THE CANDIDATE: For the role of Finance Manager you will have the ability to share information, apply knowledge to workload, be self motivating and be able to prioritise your workload. You must be reliable, adaptable and a team player. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Portsmouth.
Key experience essential for the role of Finance Manager :-
• Significant experience in all aspects of financial reporting, planning and control.
• Competent in using Accounting Software packages and Microsoft office applications
• Significant experience of working to tight reporting deadlines
