LOCATION: Chichester, West Sussex
JOB TITLE: Assistant Contracts Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: Excellent salary dependent on previous skills and experience plus use of company vehicle
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm

THE COMPANY: Our client have been at the forefront of the glasshouse construction industry in the UK and Ireland since 1985 supplying and equipping commercial greenhouses to Growers, Garden Centres and Research Institutions throughout the UK.

THE ROLE: As an Assistant Contracts Manager you will be required to assist in our clients glasshouse services design department and other sectors of the company, including ordering materials, calculating and preparing quotations, as well as carrying out site visits and overseeing project management. Full training in all aspects of the role will be provided.

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Contracts Manager role in Chichester, West Sussex include:

- Take incoming phone calls and enquiries from customers such as Growers, Garden Centres etc.
- Visit site's to calculate and prepare quotations including labour costs based on customer requirements
- Create specifications, order materials and send designs to manufacturing team
- Oversee the Project Management of builds, liaise with builders, visit sites and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

THE CANDIDATE: For the Assistant Contracts Manager's role our client is ideally looking for a candidate with some experience in the building & construction industry. So candidates such as Builders, site supervisors, contracts managers etc. will all be considered. A competitive salary will be offered, based on experience and qualifications.

You will ideally hold a C grade GCSE or above (or equivalent) in Maths & English and should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You must have good IT skills, be familiar with packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel and be someone who has a good initiative and is well organised. It is essential you have a Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Assistant Contracts Manager's role in Chichester, West Sussex :-

- C grade GCSE or above (or equivalent) in Maths & English is essential
- Must be Fluent in English and have good written communication skills as well
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word is essential
- Must have a good initiative and have a practical aptitude
- Driving Licence and use of own vehicle is essential
- Previous experience in the building & construction industry would be desirable
- Any previous experience in CAD designs would be an advantage
