WDH have an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours- Flexible working Monday to Friday between 8 am and 8 pm -including some weekend working), based in the Yorkshire area and earning £26,268 per annum.

Led by solid experience and technical expertise, you will be joining a team of Engineers to carry out the installation, maintenance and servicing of domestic gas appliances and central heating systems in occupied and void properties.

Our Gas Engineer will report to the Gas Team Leader and will work flexibly across the Construction service providing support with a range of gas installations, gas repairs, testing and servicing programmes and other projects as required. Working on your own initiative and under instruction you will ensure that all works once completed are to be to the Industry Standards, Company Specification and Manufacturers instructions

The successful Gas Engineer with have the following responsibilities:

- Being fully conversant with Health and Safety legislation and the affect of this legislation with regard to the work that is to be carried out;

- Making suggestions for efficiency savings and service improvements to Team Leader;

- Working flexibly and being part of the out of hours emergency standby call out on a rota basis as necessary;

- Commissioning appliances and completing benchmark certification;

- Servicing appliances and complete LGSR’s in line with Industry and Company standards;

- Where necessary remove redundant installations and carry out minor building works to make good;

- Identifying  from inspection/fault finding, materials required to carry out installation/repair to the required standard;

- Managing, controlling and be responsible for a stock of materials held within a  van supplied by WDH;

- Completing paperwork or use IT systems accurately including stores requisitions, job sheets and time sheets as required depending on work stream;

- Liaising with tenants and premise managers concerning the timing and progress of work to be undertaken.
