Our client is the foremost stockholder of brass, copper and bronze in the UK. They also hold large stocks of aluminium and stainless steel. They have branches throughout the North and Midlands and are expanding in the South of the UK. Their Lee Mill, Near Plymouth, depot is growing, so are now seeking a telephone sales person to work in their team. The successful candidate will be selling to their engineering and industrial customers throughout the South West.
This is not a cold calling or "Call Centre" position. You will be taking calls from existing customers and quoting for their metal requirements. No day is the same and your work will be varied. Once you are confident in your role and their products you will be expected you to achieve targets for sales and undertake promotional work. You will be responsible for seeing your order to fruition from Quotation to Delivery. There is also a need for you to purchase material from both inside and outside the Group.
Self motivated, you will be energetic, enthusiastic, confident and mathematically sound and have the ability to use a stock and order computer program. Strong communication and inter-personal skills will mean you can assimilate into our close knit team.
This is a technical role so candidates will likely have experience in an industrial or engineering field and demonstrate a passion for selling.

Salary will be dependent on experience but not less than the industry norm. Our client offers 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown. The Company operates a Pension Scheme that you will be eligible to take part in.
