A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified Engineer to join an established food manufacturing company which specialises in manufacturing great tasting, high quality bakery products. Based in South Wigston, Leicester, the successful Bakery Engineer will earn a competitive salary, depending on experience.
The company prides itself on providing a range of premium quality of all ambient and wrapped products which all have a BRC accreditation and great shelf lives. As a Bakery Engineer your core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Additional information: Working week is Monday to Friday, 1.30pm to 10pm. You will be expected to work out of hours if there is a breakdown during production time.
The company prides itself on providing a range of premium quality of all ambient and wrapped products which all have a BRC accreditation and great shelf lives. As a Bakery Engineer your core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Flowrapping lines including checkweighers and metal detectors
- Depositors conveying and bagging lines
- Cutters both ultrasonic and mechanical
- Mixers, melting tanks, enrobers and cooling tunnels
- Having a good understanding of all equipment including gas ovens, refrigeration and fork lifts
- Keeping administration paperwork for BRC up to date and organised
- Supporting the Engineer Manager and Production Manager with various engineering requirements they may need throughout the factory
- Internal workshop on the factory site for repairs and rebuilding
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Talented and self-motivated
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ideally you will have a higher level education, with an engineering qualification
- Ability to work effectively and manage cross-functional engineering projects within the business
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering is preferable
